116 Commuter Expansion

Green Mountain Transit (GMT) of Burlington and Tri-Valley Transit (TVT) of Middlebury are planning for TVT to become the sole provider of 116 Commuter bus services. The change is tentatively scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 1st on Monday, October 7th.

> GMT will stop running their shared portion of the schedule between Hinesburg and Burlington which had been departing Burlington at 6:45am and 4:50pm.

> TVT will begin runs up to Burlington at 6:55am and 3:05pm (and continue its existing 6:10am and 3:30pm runs with no changes).

All of TVT’s 116 Commuter schedules originate in Middlebury, which means that every 116 Commuter run will serve Middlebury, Bristol, Starksboro, Hinesburgh, So. Burlington and Burlington. The timing of the new runs was based on matching GMT’s commuter stop times at UVM Medical Center (8:20a and 4:57p) and Burlington Downtown Transportation Center (8:30a and 4:50p).
